why we farm
Reliably awesome, local produce grown year round that is good for you and the Keweenaw.
We see ourselves as stewards — of soils, plants, animals, and the land. The world sometimes feels pretty effed. But we believe in ripple effects; small changes can grow into big differences. Focusing on regenerating our land, feeding our community, and moving with the seasons motivates us.
What we do
Soil comes first; everything else follows. We are a small, diversified vegetable farm in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We use regenerative agricultural practices and bring fresh produce, salad mixes, veggies, and bouquets to our local community.
Triple Bottom line
We love what we do. Good food, good company — a good life. We want it and the animals, forests, and crops we steward deserve it, too. To us, that means working with nature and cultivating healthy ecosystems where pollinators, plants, critters, soil, and people are happy.
Farming is tough, so we have to be clever. Work smarter, not harder, right?
To do that, our business uses a triple bottom line: financial sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
This land is full of stories, old and new. Join us as we grow our dreams together.
